The Board approved a set of student-discipline actions listed on the consent agenda during the May 14 meeting.
The minutes specify four cases: student 481887 must attend re-engagement through the end of the 2024–25 school year and take finals in re-engagement; student 451318 must attend re-engagement through the end of 2024–25 and, if graduation requirements are not met, enroll in summer school at the Morton Alternative School (MAS). For students 480298 and 470236, the expulsions were held in abeyance provided the students successfully enroll in and participate at Morton Alternative School for the full 2025–26 school year.
These actions were recorded as part of the consent agenda that passed unanimously. The minutes cite board authority to consider student disciplinary cases under Illinois open-meeting law (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(9)) in the closed-session agenda.
