The Notus City Council on Dec. 16 approved a conditional use permit for a home daycare at 660 3rd Street that will consolidate an existing CUP at 474 Jasper Ave into the new location. Planning & Zoning recommended two conditions: a fenced yard and securing a second-story exit; applicants said those items are already completed. Councilman Rob Hartsock moved approval and Devin Krasowski seconded; the roll-call vote was Hartsock: yes, Krasowski: yes, Conner: yes.
Applicant Jan Walgamott told the council she intends to move her existing daycare and combine operations with her daughter Jeanna Bair at the 660 3rd Street address. P&Z Chair Chris Grooms confirmed the commission's two recommended conditions. Council noted the property provides seven parking spaces and that the daycare will operate on the first story only.
