Council President Mr. Martin presided over a June 8 meeting in which members of the Belpre City Council moved unanimously to place four resolutions on the agenda for first reading.
At the request of Mr. Ferguson, council added “A RESOLUTION SUPPLEMENTING YEAR 2026 APPROPRIATIONS.” Mr. Ferguson said the supplemental would be considered at the next meeting; the motion passed with all members present voting aye (Mr. Martin, Mr. Ambrozy, Mr. Cassady, Mr. Ferguson, Mr. Locke, Mr. Seebaugh).
Also added for first reading were two resolutions related to emergency medical services: a resolution authorizing the Safety-Service Director to enter a contract with the City of Belpre EMS, Inc. for EMS provision, and a resolution authorizing a lease agreement with City of Belpre EMS, Inc. for use of city real estate and emergency vehicles. Mr. Seebaugh moved each addition and council approved both motions unanimously. The council also voted to add a resolution authorizing the mayor to enter a land-transfer agreement with the Belpre Civitan Club; that motion likewise passed on a unanimous vote.
All four items were placed on the agenda for first reading and will be carried over to the next regular meeting for further consideration. No substantive debate or amendment occurred on the floor during the June 8 session.
