The Daniels County library director told the commissioners the library had received a resignation and she plans to recommend promoting an existing staff member into the hours-vacated position rather than advertising a new 32-hour hire.
"She's turned in her notice," the director said, and described scheduling and budgetary implications of shifting hours. The director also asked for temporary storage because hallway and program storage have reached capacity. Commissioners suggested checking county storage, a sheriff's unit and the fire department space and agreed to find pricing for rental storage units as a short-term solution.
The board requested a follow-up about costs and whether the sheriff's storage is available, and encouraged the director to bring a written staffing recommendation to the next meeting.
