Council approves Avamore commercial prelim plat; applicant says one lot is planned for an indoor gun club

The Eagle City Council approved a preliminary plat for the Avamore HSC subdivision during the April 28 meeting, allowing a roughly six‑acre mixed‑use commercial parcel to be subdivided into four lots. Applicant Sarah Martz of Avamore Development described planned uses in the broader commercial area, saying, “The proposed use for this particular lot is an indoor gun club, with an adjacent car showroom and ancillary buildings.”
Staff clarified three conditions of approval: no residential uses, completion of McLeod Way before issuance of the first certificate of occupancy, and lot access required from West McLeod Way rather than direct access to Crowfoot or State Highway 55. Planning and Zoning recommended approval and council voted to accept the preliminary plat with those conditions after a public hearing with no speakers signed up for public testimony.
