Bay Village engineers say EQ tank near completion, tie-in easements advance

Chagrin Valley Engineering reported that the EQ tank pump station, tank structures and the control building are installed and exterior finishes are complete, and staff are scheduling commissioning once the first utility connection is made. "We're targeting the end of June for completion," Jeff Filarski said, describing remaining interior controls testing and spot leak repairs.

Engineers and staff also described coordination with Cleveland Water, ongoing smoke and dye testing tied to a multi-year flood-investigation program, and several staged bids (water-only first, roadway later) for larger projects such as Bruce–Russell–Douglas. Council members and trustees approved easements tied to the tie-ins; the chair said he did not want to delay the project, noting the city will rely on the easement to allow work to proceed on the $8,500,000 project.
