Christopher Brozek (Abel Drive) spoke during public comment and during the public hearing for Maintenance of Lawns, Grass, Weeds & Vegetation. Brozek thanked the City for enforcement work on garbage, property maintenance and demolition and recommended the Council consider a comprehensive noise ordinance with clearly defined prohibited hours, objective standards for violations, and escalating consequences for repeat noncompliance. He referenced ordinances adopted by other municipalities, including Saratoga Springs.
Later in the meeting the Council adopted Ordinance #8 on Maintenance of Lawns, Grass, Weeds & Vegetation (motion by Council Member Vincent McCallum; seconded by Council Member Bradley Hayner). The minutes record the public comment and the ordinance adoption but do not record further debate or a timeline for any noise-ordinance study or drafting.
