Commissioner (S4) said the countys priority is "to get a great health insurance plan for our employees," while Committee member (S5) warned about the trade-offs of changing carriers: "We have no control over what our premiums are gonna be for 3 years," calling a multi-year lock "a little scary." Commissioners directed staff to invite both carriers back next year so the board can compare updated pricing and benefits annually before making a different choice.
