Farmingdale reports National Grid paving reimbursements and DPW project updates
Summary
Trustees were told that National Grid agreed to reimburse paving where new mains were installed; reimbursement received and paving is scheduled for early September 2026. Village highway and DPW staff reported progress on multiple infrastructure projects, including completed pole removal work on North Main Street (signage still on order) and a reimbursement agreement with National Grid for paving where new gas mains were installed (Yoakum Ave., Hillside Rd., Fairview Rd.). Officials said the Village has received paving reimbursement and has scheduled paving work for early September 2026.
Staff also reported the new piping system connecting the Tulane sump to Arthur Street is complete with final paving to be coordinated in July/August; the Superintendent/Engineer is preparing an estimate to reconstruct the LIRR North Parking Lot; and organizers of Music on Main require a temporary electrical drop near Croxley’s until a new pole is installed.
