Magee said the program produced just over $1 million in revenue for 2025–26 and served roughly 185,000 meals; she told the board she was awarded a competitive grant of $35,000 that "will be used to make improvements to the kitchen or purchase new equipment." Magee also said the summer Cardinal Camp introduced students to district meals and received positive feedback.
Magee noted the department replaced the freezer and floor over the winter and that staff are exploring farm‑fresh partnerships to increase fresh produce in meals. The district will also serve whole milk going forward to align with updated USDA guidance; Magee thanked the kitchen staff and the board for continued support.
