Onancock seeks Facility Construction Analysis for Historic Onancock School after firms withdraw

Town Manager Matt Spuck updated the council on the Historic Onancock School (HOS), saying the town needs cost estimates for updating HVAC, electrical, window and roof systems to secure a loan. The RFP was updated to request a Facility Construction Analysis (FCA); two firms withdrew from the process and the remaining respondent indicated they would need to outsource the architectural portion of the FCA.
Spuck said the remaining firm had not yet provided a proposal and that staff would contact the firm after finding an architect to support the FCA. No firm was awarded at the Dec. 16 meeting, and council directed staff to continue pursuing a complete FCA proposal.
