The Selectboard voted unanimously on July 20 to raise the Road Foreman’s and Road Worker’s cost-of-living adjustment from the budgeted 3% to 5% after reviewing three years of expenditure reports showing the road crew lines were consistently under budget. Jessica Lewis presented the spending documentation and the board concluded the budget could accommodate an ongoing 5% increase.
John Phelps moved to approve the change, Linda Schmidt seconded, and the transcript records "all in favor." The board directed that Jessica Lewis issue a separate, retroactive payment covering July 1 through the present for both road crew members.
