Resident Lisa Cole raised safety concerns about scooters riding in the middle of the road during the items-from-citizens portion of the meeting. Finance Officer Samantha Epler told the board that Sargent Swanson had also voiced concerns and suggested the town may need an ordinance to address e-bikes and scooters.
President Casey McNulty said the board can add the e-bike/scooter ordinance discussion to the first meeting in September, giving staff time to prepare a possible draft or options for the trustees to consider.
