A Plain City resident, identified to the council as Eric Medici, told elected officials during public comment that he had filed written complaints against three officers and a supervisor after what he described as an escalated response to a parking and roadway incident. "All 3 now have written complaints filed against them," Medici said, and urged the council to address training so officers better de-escalate tense encounters.
Chief McKee responded during reports, confirming the department is reviewing the complaint and that he watched body-camera footage. "I thank God every day for body cameras," he said, adding that he would discipline officers if an investigation shows misconduct but that he will "back them 100% until they prove them wrong."
