Visitor Center reports 27% increase in July; tourism staff announces Rally stop and events

Tourism Director Emma Groninger told the Town of Keystone Board of Trustees that the Visitor Center recorded a 27% increase in visitation over last year, with 2,887 visitors in July and a 44% increase overall compared with last year. She said the Visitor Center will be open every day through Labor Day, then on weekends only until it closes in October.
Groninger announced that the Sturgis Mustang Rally will stop in Keystone Sept. 4 and that town employees are hosting a biker breakfast Aug. 8 sponsored by Interstate Engineering. She also announced the winners of a decorating contest: Earth Treasures (business category, 1st), Wild West Pecan & Snack Co (business, 2nd), America’s Cottage (residential, 1st), and Eagles Nest (residential, 2nd).
