UW Extension educators launch community-needs survey and report strategic-plan progress

UW Extension educators in Waushara County told the committee they have launched a crops-and-soils community-needs assessment and will use responses to shape programming over the next several months. The new educator (speaker 9) asked committee members to complete and share the survey: "The QR code will take you there." Educators said results will be compiled over the next 2–3 months and used to inform workshops and local programming.
Staff also reviewed strategic-plan goals including public awareness of Extension beyond 4‑H, partnerships and a target of 25+ community responses for baseline data. "We think 24," one staff member said when reporting responses just shy of the target, and educators discussed next steps for using the feedback and reconvening the planning team. The committee heard a summary of outreach work including Farm Tech Days participation and upcoming local events, and staff committed to circulate the synthesized results to committee members once finalized.
