Director Judy Armendariz updated commissioners on recent site work and tenant services at the Aug. 5 meeting.
"We finished painting the bungalow apartments," Armendariz said, noting crews had also completed the gym and applied a large exterior and interior logo. She said the authority is proceeding with beautification work in the Monte Carlo area and will address properties incrementally.
Armendariz described staff efforts to support elderly tenants, including putting up Christmas lights at elderly apartments. She also reported a water leak in Monte Carlo earlier that day that forced a roughly three-hour shutoff; staff hand-delivered water bottles to affected residents.
Commissioners thanked staff for the improvements and the quick response to the leak. No formal actions were taken; Armendariz said maintenance and beautification will continue as funding and schedules allow.
