Neighboring businesses warn Birdies & Brews could worsen parking and harm customers

Planner Dan read an emailed statement from Christine Velasco, owner of Ruffin' It Pet Resort Inc., who said her business already faces parking pressure from neighboring uses and warned that additional overflow could reduce customers and jeopardize her operation. The letter states that Ms. Velasco has worked to add signs and make adjustments, but if overflow continues "I will lose customers and could ultimately end up having to close if it becomes that much of an issue." The comment was entered into the record and copies were provided to the board.
Board members acknowledged the concerns; the final parking variance included conditions meant to reduce spillover, but several members said they remained wary of enforcement and the practical limits of signage and scheduling.
