Fraser’s updated zoning ordinance was approved by city council and, as of July 31, the city is operating under the new code, city planner Dan told the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Dan said the Planning Commission recommended the update and council adopted revisions after public comment. "So as of July 31, the city is operating under the new updated zoning ordinance," Dan said. He plans to email a PDF of the approximately 190-page ordinance to board members and provide printed binders for reference.
The update also implements a new filing deadline for site-plan and variance applications: applicants must submit completed applications by the first of the month prior to the meeting date (for example, an applicant seeking a September hearing must file by Aug. 1). Dan said he will attempt to give members at least 15 days’ notice when a public hearing is posted.
