County engineer reports flash-flood damage on CH 19, paving plans and second-quarter budget review

Scott Stephenson, County Engineer for Henry County, opened his report at the June 11 Transportation Committee meeting with a summary of routine departmental matters: a second-quarter budget review, planned paving projects in Annawan, work at the Geneseo Community Center and pavement work within the City of Geneseo, and recent storm damage. He also notified the committee that he will be on vacation June 18 and will not attend the County Board meeting later that week.
In the recorded minutes Stephenson listed specific items: "2nd Quarter Budget review. Paving in Annawan, Geneseo Community Center, and City of Geneseo. Damage from Flash Flood on CH 19 on 6/7/26. Scott will be on vacation June 18th and will not be attending the June County Board meeting." The committee recorded no public comments during the meeting and approved minutes and bills by signature. The next committee meeting was announced for July 9, 2026 at 3:00 pm in the Office of the County Engineer.
