At its May 18 meeting the DeWitt County Finance Committee approved last month's minutes and county claims and forwarded several recommendations to the full board.
Motions to approve the previous meeting's minutes and to approve claims carried on voice votes. The committee recommended the county set its monthly employer contribution for health insurance at $875 and to offer three BC/BS plans; it also recommended $2,500-per-year increases for the County Clerk and Treasurer for the term starting Dec. 1, 2026. Committee adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
The committee asked the county administrator to consult the State's Attorney about benefits eligibility for elected officials and to return guidance to the full board.
