Board raises county health-insurance contribution and approves elected-official pay increases

The DeWitt County Board voted to raise the county's monthly health insurance contribution for employees to $875 and to offer three Blue Cross/Blue Shield plan choices. Tilley said the change came "due to a significant increase" in premiums and was intended to keep at least one plan close to current employee costs.
The Board also approved pay increases of $2,500 annually for both the County Clerk and County Treasurer, to be applied for four consecutive years beginning Dec. 1, 2026. The motion was recorded as carried by a roll-call vote.
