The administrator continued the use-permit hearing for 899 Lighthouse Avenue (UP260064) to Sept. 3, 2026 because staff and the administrator identified unpermitted outdoor storage (forklifts and vehicle storage) on-site and unresolved conflicts between the proposed outdoor sales area and two parking spaces staff recommends removing.
The administrator approved use permit UP260132 for 30 Garden Court (Peace of Mind Dog Rescue) with two written modifications to the conditions of approval: Condition 6 now requires submission of revised fence-location plans and an updated acoustical analysis by a licensed specialist prior to the issuance of building permits demonstrating compliance with Monterey City Code section 38-11a3; Condition 7 requires ongoing compliance with Monterey City Code section 38-111. All ZA decisions are appealable to the Planning Commission within 10 days.
