Commission hears operational updates on trash cans, public art policy and Presidio roof bids

Commissioners used the non‑agendized comment time to share operational updates and small capital projects. Staff reported nine new trash cans have been deployed on the wharf and said a press release and focus article with photos will be released shortly.
The public art policy remains under review with community development; staff's intern has been coordinating edits and will route the draft to the city attorney for review. Staff also said three bids for roofing work at the Presidio and associated restroom repairs have arrived and will be forwarded to Presidio staff for procurement and scheduling to occur before the storm season.
Separately, staff noted a series of paid ghost tours and a ticketed evening tour at Colton Hall that will generate revenue and return a share to the museums department. Commissioners also raised continuing requests to replace several Path of History signs and to coordinate fundraising or donations to cover missing signage.
