The Planning Commission voted unanimously to extend approvals for renovation and adaptive reuse at 41 North Division, allowing the applicant additional time to secure financing and complete purchase arrangements. Chair (Speaker 1) said the commission would extend the approvals through September 2026 and asked the applicant to provide a six‑month update.
Architect Joseph Thompson (Speaker 6), who represents the project, told the commission the purchase remains contingent on establishing funding and that several awards put the project in a “very promising” position. “They have not purchased yet,” Thompson said, adding that the team expected to be able to meet the new timeline. The commission’s motion was seconded and approved by voice vote; no objections were recorded.
