County engineer outlines summer roadwork: S60 striping, August concrete patching, September shoulder work

County Engineer Dillon Davenport reported culvert and mowing work underway, S60 north of Seymour scheduled for striping that day, and a tentative plan for full-depth concrete patching in August and shoulder reclaiming on about one-third of paved highways in September.
Dillon Davenport, Wayne County Engineer, told the board that crews are completing culvert work around Confidence and will move toward Seymour; a backhoe fitted with a mulcher head is operating south of Cambria, and three mowers are active across the county.
Mr. Davenport said the S60 Highway north of Seymour was scheduled for striping that day and "should be open this week." He gave a tentative schedule for the remainder of the summer: "Full Depth Concrete Patching (August) & Shoulder & reclaiming shoulders of approximately 1/3 of paved highways (September)."
