The Wahkiakum County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to appoint Commissioner Daniel L. Cothren and Sandra Staples Bortner as the county's two representatives on the governance board for the Upper Grays River Community Forest Public Development Authority. The appointments are contingent on execution of an interlocal agreement, adoption of the PDA's charter and establishment of the authority; once the PDA commences the appointees' four-year terms will begin.
Commissioners discussed the benefits of the project during the motion, and the Board thanked Bortner for her service to the planning committee. The motion recorded unanimous approval by the three commissioners; no individual dissent or conditions were recorded in the minutes.
