Sheriff's ballistic-shield grant tabled to allow attorney review after packet error

Sheriff Levi Dominguez proposed a grant agreement (23-SHSP-SHE-SO-AET-SH) that would reimburse the county 100% for new ballistic shields purchased with leftover 2023 grant funds. Administrative Director Cameron Duff acknowledged the wrong grant form was in the packet, and Deputy County Attorney Clint Beaver said he had not had the opportunity to review the agreement and therefore could not sign it. "Mr. Beaver noted that the agreement requires his signature and since he has not been given the opportunity to review it, he cannot sign," the minutes record.
Commissioner Mike Arzy moved to table the agenda item to the next meeting to allow attorney review; the motion passed unanimously and the item was scheduled for the June 15 Board meeting. No purchase or reimbursement was authorized at the June 8 staff meeting.
