The Amelia County Board of Supervisors cleared several routine but consequential items in its consent and staff reports. By voice/hand vote the board approved the consent agenda (minutes, PPTRA resolution, appointment of a temporary zoning administrator and other routine items), approved carryforward appropriations for federal Title I ($37,068.18) and GEAR UP ($27,130.05) grant balances and a state construction fund carryforward of approximately $1,194,469.50. The board also approved two tax refunds recommended by the commissioner, and ratified donations of $500 each to the Diamond Youth baseball and Dixie Youth softball teams heading to world‑series competitions.
Staff noted that some carryovers require no local match while others require in‑kind matches already accounted for in budget documents. The board voted to approve a FY26 state fund carryover resolution and to certify that the county met required local effort thresholds when final audit numbers are confirmed. The motions were passed by voice/hand votes during the meeting.
