At the June 10 meeting, County Executive Office on Aging staff presented program updates and resources relevant to people with disabilities and older adults.
Vice Chair Lehua Chang thanked Rowena Dagdag-Andaya for the report and suggested connecting with Women Helping Women to provide accommodations for people in temporary shelter situations. Secretary Danish reported that the Office of Elections provided informational materials about voter accessibility rights and accommodations for distribution to the Commission.
Staff announced a Healthy Aging Programs demonstration on June 16 at the J. Walter Cameron Center featuring the Bingosize seated exercise and the EnhanceFitness low‑mobility program; commissioners were invited to share event information with their networks and RSVP.
