Hawaii Kai board re-elects Roberta Mayer as chair; names Knutson vice chair, Silvacroft secretary and appoints Lisa Bishop to vacancy

Roberta Mayer will remain chair of the Hawaii Kai Neighborhood Board for the year beginning July 30, 2024, after members unanimously approved her nomination at the board's regular meeting. "I wanna thank you for your confidence in me," Mayer said after the voice vote confirming her return as chair.
The board also elected Greg Knutson as vice chair and Elsie Silvacroft as secretary by voice votes. Later in the meeting the board considered volunteers for an open at-large seat; Lisa Bishop, a resident since 2008 and president of Friends of Hanauma Bay, introduced herself and described volunteer experience advocating for Hanauma Bay and other environmental work. The board carried Bishop's nomination by roll-call; the chair said Bishop must provide identification before taking the oath and assuming the seat.
