District presents required local indicators: high connectedness and A–G completion rates

District staff presented the state-required local indicators for the LCAP, reporting high school connectedness at 83% (state average 52%), a 96% A–G completion rate for graduates, and 81% A–G completion for students with disabilities; results will be uploaded to the California Dashboard in October.
Stephanie, the district staff member presenting the local indicators, told the board the district will upload required responses to the California Dashboard this fall and used the state’s five-area reflection tool covering basic conditions, standards implementation, family engagement, school climate, and access to a broad course of study.
She highlighted that in 2023–24 the district reported full access to instructional materials and zero teacher misassignments (compared with an Alameda County average around 10%) and that facility inspections showed schools in good repair. On school climate, Stephanie said the Healthy Kids survey showed that Piedmont High School students reported 83% connectedness (state high school average 52%), caring-adult relationships rose to about 81% at the high school level, and that students’ sense of safety ranged from 83% to 94% across sites. On access measures, she reported a 96% A–G completion rate for high school graduates and noted that 81% of students with disabilities completed A–G requirements.
