Council sets Public Works seasonal hours, adopts meeting Code of Conduct and tables contractor issue

The Bristow City Council on June 15 approved a seasonal schedule for the Public Works Department (summer hours Monday–Friday 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch from March 1 through Sept. 30; winter hours 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch from Oct. 1 through Feb. 28), effective July 1, 2026, with exceptions at the mayor's discretion. The council also adopted a Code of Conduct for public meetings applicable to the city and its public trusts, commissions and boards.
City Clerk Sabrina Mounce asked to table agenda item #31 — an Independent Contractor Agreement with Mr. Davis Construction, L.L.C. — to July 6 after reporting that Mr. Davis's father had died and his sister became ill and later passed following the funeral; the council approved tabling the item. The public hearing on the 2025–26 Revised Budget #1 followed.
