Council approves development agreements conveying land for turnpike right-of-way

The Bristow City Council approved development agreements on June 15, 2026, conveying real property to be used by the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority for turnpike right-of-way, access roads and utility easements. The agreements name John Roger Collins and Mary Lanphier Collins (as successor co-trustees of the Velma Jones Collins Living Trust) and Krumme Oil Company, LLP as parties conveying property for turnpike purposes. Motions to approve both development agreements passed by unanimous roll call.
City Attorney Beth Anne Childs explained that these development agreements differ somewhat from prior agreements and noted there is "a little bit for them to develop," but that the Turnpike Authority and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation will handle most development decisions and implementation.
