Council asks police and staff for clearance-rate analysis and cloud-security details before contract decision

Following the presentation and public comment, Councilwoman Sierowski asked staff to prepare a comparative clearance-rate analysis showing case clearance percentages before and after the city's Flock implementation.
"If we could ask the police department...I would like to ask the police department to do a data analysis to show case clearance before and after Flock," she said, requesting percentage-based comparisons rather than raw counts. City Manager Mark Vanderpool and Chief Satterfield agreed to collaborate with IT on security and hosting proofs and to return to council with findings.
Vanderpool said the city would involve its IT director and the police transparency dashboard would be used to show search numbers and success stories; staff cautioned it would take time to assemble rigorous statistical comparisons but committed to reporting back.
