The Village of Waterford Personnel Committee on Jan. 26, 2026 reviewed current water operator wages and insurance and benefit packages compared with neighboring communities, but members were told the village’s 2026 budget is closed and no wage adjustments can be made for the current year. Chair Tamara Pollnow noted that department directors are responsible for reviewing merit increases and cost-of-living adjustments with their staffs.
Committee members discussed comparisons of benefits and pay during the review, but made no motion to change wages because of the budget constraint. The discussion concluded with the committee asking department directors to continue internal reviews and return with recommendations in subsequent meetings if the budget status changes.
