UC Davis Covelo clinic plans large-animal pilot, needs local volunteers

Emily McCobb updated the council that the UC Davis Covelo Vet Clinic will hold its next clinic at the end of March and is developing a pilot project to provide large-animal services on a Saturday schedule. "A pilot project is in the works for a large animal clinic, Saturday only, possibly with a small co-pay. They will not do any sedations," McCobb said.
McCobb said ten additional veterinarians or veterinary assistants would travel to Round Valley to staff the pilot and that local volunteers would be asked to help with feeding and logistics. The update was informational; members did not take formal action but noted volunteer needs for the pilot.
