Students, staff highlight classroom wins; staff raise concern about nurse coverage

During the same presentation staff reported “an injury at AK Smith last week” and said they were “raising concerns with no nurse on staff at the location.” District leaders told the board they are working with Michigan City Schools to resolve nurse coverage. The board also discussed parent communications, including distribution of iLearn portal handouts for grades 3–8 and logistical planning for upcoming parent‑teacher conferences.
