Board approves replacement of nonconforming 'Pierce's Crab Shack' structure

The board adopted the four required findings and approved the permit 5-0.
Board members said the application included an appraisal by a North Carolina licensed appraiser and that rebuilding should add value to the property. Mr. John Smith explicitly noted the appraiser's evaluation opinion, and Mr. Kyle Fountain said that the crab shack fits the harmony of the area under the Comprehensive Plan. The board's approval followed motions and seconds recorded in the minutes and carried unanimously.
