CalTrans not present; resident relays Highway 162 update and timing constraints

CalTrans did not send a representative despite being invited to update the council on Highway 162 projects. Pat Sobrero relayed information from CalTrans staff: Steve Tisell reported that center striping was "just completed" and that CalTrans plans a final layer of asphalt, shoulder backing and thermo‑plastic edging in spring when they can rely on a month of 50° days. Sobrero prefaced the relay by saying he had not personally verified the striping.
Council members noted the item had been carried over from December and requested continued follow up. The absence of a CalTrans representative meant questions from residents about scheduling and project details remained outstanding.
