Finance Director Kristen Reed presented the second reading of Ordinance 2841, the 2026 budget amendment, and described two changes since the first reading. "We added an additional $35,000 for two digital reader boards; that'll be paid for out of the street fund," Reed said, and noted the transfer split followed existing IT-fund percentages. She also said Fund 35 (the Facilities Fund) will fall below the city's reserve policy as a result of the amendment.
Committee members expressed full support for the amendment; a motion to approve was made and seconded and the council voted to adopt Ordinance 2841. Reed remained available to answer follow-up questions about fund balances and the IT transfer.
