The Round Valley Area Municipal Advisory Council reviewed a draft resolution drafted by resident Lew Chichester addressing trash in Round Valley and voted to forward the revised letter to county staff and regional partners. Dane Downing moved and Randall (Randy) Vann seconded the motion; members voted "all in favor." The council instructed staff to send the approved letter to John H, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors, Assemblyman Chris Rogers' office, the Round Valley Indian Tribes and the Covelo Water District.
The item included attached proposed findings, goals and potential solutions for incorporation into a formal resolution. The action creates an official record of community concern about litter and waste-management and directs the RVAMAC chair and staff to transmit the document to identified recipients for follow up and potential county response.
