During public comment, a resident told the commission that most outreach has been electronic and urged the city to mail notices to reach older or less digitally connected residents.
"I didn't see anything in the mail or anything... Is are we just get are we just getting away from that?" the resident asked, describing a preference for paper notices. City staff responded that there was no plan for mass mailers for this application cycle but said they had used the city website, social media, a community meeting and the weekly newsletter and that they would consider additional methods.
Staff said they will keep the online survey and post the draft application and scoring materials for 30 days after the council action so residents can review and comment. The Planning Commission recorded a motion recommending the application be authorized and forwarded that recommendation to City Council.
