Project update: piers drilled, ARPA funding near exhaustion, Flintco reports remediation progress

At the start of the meeting the project presenter (Stacy) provided a construction and quality-assurance update for the jail and Behavioral Care Center campus.
Stacy reported the project is past dirt work and "into the piers," noting "we're at about 130 piers drilled today" and roughly $16,500,000 has been spent on the jail portion to date. On inspection items Stacy said Flintco has fixed and closed about 73% of the issues documented by the inspection team and those items have been re-inspected and cleared.
On funding, Stacy said the ARPA contribution to the project was approximately $32,000,000 so far of an expected $38,000,000 total and that the remaining construction and operations funding would be local. Committee members asked about mitigation efforts for excessive costs; Stacy and others said mitigation by contractors and testing firms remains in effect.
The update framed the heavy-lift construction tasks (drilling and foundation work) as complete or underway and left longer-term schedule and budget questions to subsequent discussions on the ballot recommendation and scope caps.
