Essex EDC to staff booth at Sept. 19 Community Fall Festival; members encouraged to volunteer

The commission confirmed it will staff a booth at the Community Fall Festival on Sept. 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the middle school fields to promote local businesses and EDC programs.
Tammy asked members to consider what topics they'd present at the booth and encouraged volunteers to sign up. "It's an incentive for our departments, all of our boards and committees... to connect with possibly thousands or at least hundreds of people from the Essex community," she said. Members who attended past festivals described it as a useful outreach avenue for connecting with residents and business owners.
The commission will return to planning the booth at its next meeting and invited members to propose materials and staffing plans via the reading-file process.
