Essex EDC outlines task-based work plan, ties projects to town strategic goals

"This plan you have in front of you was approved by the EDC in May," Tammy said, adding that staff adapted the format to generate a task worksheet that can be filtered to show EDC responsibilities. She encouraged members to play with the Excel workbook offline and suggested formal approval at the September meeting so the manager can incorporate it into the town-wide strategic planning process.
Members discussed assigning lead contacts for items and adding deadlines at a finer level of detail. The commission agreed the work plan is a living document that should guide agendas and provide a clear record to the select board of EDC priorities and accomplishments.
