On July 15 the Fridley School Board approved one-reading adoption of a package of district policies covering student safety, attendance and administrative procedures. The adopted policies include 413 Harassment and Violence; 414 Mandated Reporting of Child Neglect or Physical or Sexual Abuse; 418 Drug-free Workplace/Drug-free School; 501 School Weapons Policy; 503 Student Attendance; 512 School Sponsored Student Publications and Activities; 515 Protection and Privacy of Student Records; 516 Student Medication and Telehealth; 534 School Meals Policy; 621 Literacy and the Read Act; 704 Fixed Asset inventory and accounting; 707 Transportation of Public School Students; 709 Student Transportation Safety; 802 Disposition of Obsolete Equipment and Material; and 806 Crisis Management.
The motion to accept the readings and adopt the listed policies was made by Nikki Auna and seconded by Sara Jones; the board recorded a unanimous 4-0 vote with two members absent.
