Board approves 2026 meeting pay scale and officer stipends

At the Jan. 5 organizational meeting the board approved a compensation schedule for 2026. The motion, made by David Treinen, set member pay at $80 per meeting under four hours, $95 for meetings lasting more than four but less than six hours, and $140 per meeting for sessions longer than six hours.
The board also approved officer stipends: $350 per month for the chair and $250 per year each for the vice chair, clerk and treasurer. The motion was seconded and adopted unanimously.
"Motion by David Treinen to approve school board compensation as follows for 2026: $80/mtg if less than 4 hours; $95/mtg if more than 4 but less than 6 hrs; $140/mtg if more than 6 hours," the minutes state.
