Board approves multiple hires, records resignations for 2025-26 staffing

The Litchfield Public School District board on April 28 approved a consent agenda that included several new hires and recorded multiple resignations.
Under the consent agenda the board approved hiring Allison Kargas, Stella Sherpersky and Joanna Bailey as Dragon Kids Club aides at $13.50 per hour; Mollee Duffield as Head Dance Coach at $4,261.00 per the master agreement starting Oct. 20, 2025; and three certified hires at BA, Step C ($46,820) starting Aug. 25, 2025: Courtney Niedzielski and Sommer Torborg (Special Education teachers) and Drew Heaslip (7th grade Social Studies). The consent motion carried 6-0.
The minutes record resignations effective in early June 2025 from Riley Johnson (Special Education Teacher at Lake Ripley), Shelby Vines (Special Education para at Lake Ripley), Natalie Nelson (High School math teacher) and Sara Redekopp (Elementary Teacher at Lake Ripley). The release of Tayler Rassler as Food Service Aide effective April 9, 2025 was also recorded. The board also temporarily increased Darala Loch’s DKC Enrichment Coordinator hours to 40 per week for May–August.
