Joseph D. Cavasini, town supervisor, opened a presentation at Wappinger Town Hall to promote the Wappinger Farmers Market, which he said has run for six weeks and returns every Monday afternoon.
"it has been 6 weeks of amazing activity here in the town of Wappinger with this Farmers Market," Cavasini said, describing a "truly curated vendor field" of local artisans, farms and crafters. He urged residents to visit the market, which staff and volunteers operate at Town Hall.
Organizers and vendors emphasized the market's community benefits: producers sell fresh, locally grown produce and prepared foods, small businesses use the market as a launch point, and community groups promote upcoming events and education programs. The market is scheduled each Monday from 4 to 7 p.m., and organizers encouraged repeat attendance.
